The Turkish capital, which is also iconic with the glory of the Ottoman Empire (Ottoman Caliphate), Constantinople later named Istanbul again ordains itself as one of the qibla of modern Islamic civilization.
This time Istanbul again hosted meetings of various Islamic activists, scholars and preachers, teachers, engineers, lawyers, and various professions and humanitarian activists. That is in an annual event, the 9th Multaqa Ruwwad held by al-I’tilaf al-Alamiy li Nushrati al-Quds wa Filistin (International Alliance of Defenders of al-Quds and Palestine) in collaboration with Türk Arap İlişkileri Merkezi (TAIM) which held on 20-21 October 2017 at Hotel Kaya Istanbul.
A day before, on October 19, 2017, the seminar of International Women’s Alliance for Palestine was held in the same place. Dr. Raudhah Kavakci, one of AK Party vice chairman attended in the seminar to deliver the speech in this event, also Ustadzah Fatinah Sulaiman, as chairman of the Women Alliance of Defenders of al-Quds and Palestine. Representative of Indonesian delegation, Ustadzah Nurjannah Hulwani, S. Ag, M.E – Chairman of Adara Relief International, also thanked specifically to Dr. Amal Khalifah who became the inspirator to find the pulpit carvers of Masjid al-Aqsa. In the Dr. Amal Khalifah’s trip to Indonesia, she met Mr.Abdul Muthalib from Jepara, Central Java as the leader team who involved in making of the replication of pulpit Salahuddin in 1969. After making the pulpit for four years then in 2007 re-installed replica pulpit of Salahuddin al-Ayyubi. The pride is that there are touches from some of the son of the best Indonesian nation there, at Masjid al-Aqsa.
In parallel at the same time, the General Assembly of the International Alliance of Defenders of al-Quds and Palestine conducted a five-year evaluation in a complete descriptive presentation submitted by its Secretary General Eng. Munir Said. In the exclusive meeting, which was also attended by representatives of several regional alliances, Sheikh Hamam Said was elected as the new skippers for the Alliance and appointed Drs. Mohamed Akrom al-Adluny, an expert on human resource management graduated from the United States as secretary general.
In the evening of the same day, the new stewardship duo was introduced in Umsiyah Tsaqafiyah a kind of pre-event Gala Dinner in the presence of multaqa participants from various countries.
